Default R/Mo Beastmaster

This is a build I've been running with quite some success in RA ages ago before beastmasters were even useful for anything in most peoples oppinion.
It is quite simple and makes use of some skills comsidered worthless and stupit in PvP but please try it before you start flaming it completely.
Also please note that you can modify it quite a bit to suit your exact needs, so please dont say "it's bad you should change this and this" because I know you can change it a lot, I do so myself, feel free to do so yourself.

Well, to the build then

Ranger / Monk
16 (12+4) Beast mastery
11 (10+1) Expertice
8 Healing Prayers

Ferocious Strike (e)
Brutal Strike
Call of Haste (this slot can be changed for whatever you prefer)
Symbiotic Bond
Comfort Animal
Charm Animal
Mending
Res sig (or any other useful beastbuff but ress is sugested in PvP)

First thing to point out, if you carry this out you'll most likely never need to use Comfort Animal as your pet is most likely never going to die.
Be sure to use Symbiotic bond, giving your pet +3 health regeneration and take half damage (that equals +6 health regen on a normal character) this will leave your pet quite invulnerable to anything but a direct spike, and I've not yet lived to see that happen in RA or any other place for that matter.

Mending (please dont rage on me yet) will make up for the health you take from your pet through Sybiotic Bond. There are probably other less straightforward ways to get around this feel free to experiment with other skills.

Just keep Call of Haste or whichever skill you're running up for the bonuses it gives.

Ferocious strike and Brutal strike can be chained as Ferocious strike manages your energy and deals a steady +29 damage, brutal strike deals unconditionaly +37 damage and if the target is below 50% health (and they will be quite quickly) it will deal a +74 damage.

I've personally destroyed everything from monks which can't take the pressure and confused warriors with this build. The best thing with beastmastery is that the opponent almost never understand what you are doing, it's so wonderful when you get blinding flashed for the 5th time and your pet is running over the ele still.

So that's it, the build is of course far from flawless but it's fun watching your portable tank beat down the opponents

Seems pretty good. But I am going to bash you on mending. First of all, the healing from it sucks...If you can stay alive with just Mending the other person has a problem. Any half-decent player could kill you. Just take out Mending for Trolls Ungent. That way you don't lose a pip of energy and Trolls is better healing. Also consider going /Rt and use Brutal Weapon on you pet. (Idea from the R/Rt BM Thread).

Needed.

I think the build could be reworked, but after having a "re-look" through the Beast Master line, after the Pet Control update, I think a "pure" BM build won't be very effective, *however* if combined with Bow attacks, It should be able to maintain a high DPS, and *could* be viable, thanks to not needing to invest in Expertise from Ferocious Strike.

Thanks,
Pr0gram~

the only questionable skill there is mending, and thats because it is of course (-1 e regen and shatter enchant aside even) by far the LEAST efficient heal in this world we know as GW. Troll is a very solid replacement, even at only 4 WS it's better than mending, but... try predatory bond, it's by far the best non-elite way for a beastmaster to heal themselves considering its in the BM att line. Brutal weapon is a good add, but what would you take out? Certainly not call of haste, symbiotic bond would be a good fit, but I'd drop in Othyugh's cry there now, so kitty's attacks are unblockable, heal you, and hit at +25% speed.
Just a point here, If I bring an anti melee caster in arenas and see a pet. I'll always target the pet for SS or empathy, why? They wont stop attacking. The point is, now you can heel the pet, but it shuts you down, no heals OR you die from SS feeback through the symbiotic bond.
